In this present world of hi-tech, where everything gets sophisticated and easily accessible by anyone of any age at any time. One has to be careful not to have to be subtly conforming to this world's modulus Operandi resulting from the content of what we consume into our minds, especially through Television sets. For instance, nowadays people find pleasure in seeing horror flicks with unrestrained displays of violence, diabolism, gore, and the likes. They find such movies interesting without being aware of the latent danger that ingesting them can cause. The disastrous effect on a Christian is that suchkinds of stuffs pollutes his Faith
Friends, chose to feed on wholesome materials and diligently do away with contraries, it doesn't matter if it's rated PG-13, once it doesn't align with the principles of Faith, we are not to tolerate them in our homes. These movies can alter your belief pattern and are capable of introducing fear into your life if you give them enough attention
For example, these so called PG-rated movies may depict a witch as being a kind and helpful personality, meanwhile, this is totally impossible, God condemns witchcraft (Exodus 22:18) and the challenge is; if you consume these materials often, you are likely to develop an indifferent attitude to witchcraft and it can get to a point where you become cold with the things of God
In our opening text, you are admonished to "keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." another translation says "...for out of it are the forces that shape your life." The word "keep" was translated from the Hebrew word "natsar" which means "to guard like a watchman" So, we are to ensure we put all measures in place with all the energy we can muster to prevent unnecessary stuffs from getting into our heart; you have to take some steps even if it will make you look absurd among contemporaries. Consuming these materials is the reason why some people often have recurrent nightmares.
Beloved, the right thing to do is to turn away from them and spend quality time with the Word (Act 6:4)

Act : Carefully screen all the formats of every in your home; educate your children on why you will be restricting them to Educative and Godly channels alone; let it begin with you for their ensample.
